The Outcasts are the international-level charter team of the Puget Sound Outcast Derby league. Skaters are selected by a panel of external assessors and coaches at open tryouts held during the year and are expected to be able to commit the time and physical effort necessary to skate at a competitive level of play. These skaters will also need to travel several times a year for tournaments, and while 100% availability isn't mandatory, it is appreciated. In 2024, the Outcasts skated in Return of the Dumpster Fire 2024, hosted by the Carolina Wreckingballs, and Flat Track Fever, hosted by Chinook City Roller Derby.

The Castaways are PSOD's recreational team. They participate in tournaments and games within the Puget Sound region and are open to any gameplay from lower A-level to B-level. Skaters of all skill level are able to skate with the Castaways and will have several chances to skate in game-play throughout the year. Castaways have two co-captains and are usually coached by teammates who skate with the Outcasts.
Skaters who are deemed safe to skate in inter-league gameplay are eligible to be rostered with the Castaways.
